Combe Martin Primary School – Specialist Teaching Assistant (Grade D) 12.5 HPW Term Time only
Are you an experienced teaching assistant or outdoor education practitioner? CMPS are developing their curriculum provision for Sea School and you might be the person to run it!
The post holder will plan and deliver sessions in the outdoor environment with a teacher. Over a term they will work with the whole school to ensure the children continue to develop their knowledge of the local environment and develop social emotional skills as well as a deep love and responsibility for the coastal ecology of Combe Martin. This an exciting position with training opportunities.
You will need to be calm, enthusiastic, motivated, an effective communicator and be passionate towards helping young people develop socially, academically and emotionally. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, and use your initiative, is essential.
We have high expectations of all our staff; we offer a superb opportunity for the right person to develop their skills in a successful nursery that will provide great support with lovely children and highly professional colleagues.
This is an exciting time to join the school as we are looking to join the newly formed Alumnis Multi Academy Trust; an innovative and dynamic new organisation that seeks to put children and staff at the heart of the Trust. The Alumnis Multi Academy Trust is a diverse mix of church and community schools which have a long-standing and successful partnership through the North Devon Teaching School Alliance.
If you would like to work for a forward thinking Federation that focuses on providing every individual child in our schools with rich, varied and exciting learning opportunities, then we would love to hear from you.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
