We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and committed early years’ Foundation Stage Supervisor, who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Early Years setting. You will plan and prepare for enhanced learning and development using EYFS guidelines, ensuring that the children’s learning, development, safety and safeguarding needs are fully met.

The candidate will need to be enthusiastic and have experience of working with very young children.

The successful candidate will be required to:

Have a passion for children and childcare and their learning
Manage the staff within the setting on a day to day basis
Have supervisorial experience in a similar setting
Have a minimum NNEB, NVQ/CACHE level 3 or equivalent qualification
Will also need a high awareness of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and pedagogy
Have a good, professional level of spoken and written English
Plan a range of interesting, age appropriate activities
Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer
Create engaging learning environments
Have a keen eye for health and safety and safeguarding issues
Be proactive, self-motivated and be able to pay attention to detail
Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues and have a flexible approach

Are you an experienced teaching assistant or outdoor education practitioner? CMPS are developing their curriculum provision for Sea School and you might be the person to run it!

 

The post holder will plan and deliver sessions in the outdoor environment with a teacher. Over a term they will work with the whole school to ensure the children continue to develop their knowledge of the local environment and develop social emotional skills as well as a deep love and responsibility for the coastal ecology of Combe Martin.
